Welcome! My name is Brooklyn, owner and head artist at Brooklyn Beats Faces!

One of my fondest childhood memories is of my grandmother asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and without hesitation, my answer was always "a beautician for the stars". Little did I know, 15 years later, I would be paving my own way into doing exactly that. My story as an artist kick-started in Toms River, NJ in my bedroom during high school. Self-taught through online tutorials, I would use my own face as a canvas constantly and post my looks on Instagram. Soon after, I found myself taking paying clients (friends from school with a little extra cash) on my home makeup vanity i got for Christmas, using a few palettes and a small makeup bag with drugstore products I could afford. This became how I would get myself through college, doing makeup for all of my sorority sisters. Once I graduated Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Science, I quickly realised I would have to put my true passion on the back-burner as I prepared the dreaded search for a "big girl job". In 2019, against societal pressures and without filling out a single application, I instead picked up the phone to call Artist Makeup Academy in Hoboken, a school that specialises in professional makeup artistry that I used to daydream about attending with my best friend in high school. This was the phone call that turned my makeup journey from just a passion into a full-blown beauty business. Fast forward to today... Certified and trained in Bridal, Special Events, Editorial, Film & Special FX makeup, I can proudly say I have worked on hundreds of faces all over the northeast and even internationally. My work has taken me all the way from working in salons to glamming backstage at New York Fashion Week, penthouse hotel rooms for celebrities, and flying international for bridal clients. As a professional, my main goal is to make clients look and feel their best while still feeling like themselves. With a rapidly evolving beauty industry, I’m committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and trends in the field to ensure that each service is high-quality and performed with the utmost care. My favorite part of my job is that I get to connect with my clients on a truly personal level, as I get to be there for every important milestone in their lives and keep them sane during their most vulnerable moments. I love meeting your families, friends, children and especially pets! I can truly say there is not a day where my job feels like "work".
